Velo Cult, San Diego

Spent some time in San Diego this past weekend, it was a nice break from chaotic Park City. While basking in the sun I rode to Velo Cult located in South Park. This full service shop nestled on Fern Street, offers the largest selection of “fixie” gear and bike knowledge one could hope for.

India Street Series, “Rajiv Chowk”

I had just returned from Haridwar to Delhi and was craving a good Western style breakfast. I settle for a swanky restaurant, the name escapes me, and ordered eggs, toast and hot chai masala. What the waiter brought me was French toast and potato chips, with no syrup. At least the chai was hot. This is part one of the India Street Series. This series “Rajiv Chowk” taken along the large traffic circle of Connaught Place in the heart of New Delhi shortly after breakfast.
Delhi has a population over 13-million people and thousands of cows spread over 900-square-miles. The streets are jam with mechanical and human traffic. Most vehicles are small and use Carbon Neutral Gas, CNG. The most useful and affordable mode of transportation for a family is the motorcycle or scooter.

Rajiv Chowk also know as Inner Circle, is the best street in New Delhi to play a game of human Frogger on.

All the images were taken within five minutes before heading back to the Karol Bagh via the Metro.

Snow

It finally snowed! The Canyons Resort, Park City, reported nearly a foot of snow in 24-hours. Last year a foot of snow was the daily average. Not the story this year, this foot of snow was one of the best powder days of the season for me. Sad, but true, must be global warming.

Amgen Tour of California

Congratulations to Levi Leipheimer (Astana) on winning The Amgen Tour of California for a third straight year. Hats off to Utah native and America’s Time Trial Champion David Zabriskie (Garmin-Slipstream) for finishing 2nd.

Levi Leipheimer (Astana) chased by Thomas Peterson (Garmin-Slipstream) trough the streets of Santa Cruz during stage 2 Sausalito to Santa Cruz. Peterson won the stage, Leipheimer took the Yellow Jersey.

Of course all the attention was on the man, Lance Armstrong (Astana) who finished 7th not bad for domestique. This image was taken before Stage 3 San Jose to Modesto. The crowds where huge, all wanting to see the legend.

First Day of Snowboarding, Brighton

I was fortunate enough to be invited to Burton's meet and greet at Brighton resort. It was a great first day on the board, 50-degrees and sunny barely anybody on the hill. The snow was amazing!

Jake Burton, Jeremy Jones and Jussi were on the scene, just hanging out and doing some filming.

High West Distillery

I just toured High West Distillery located in Salt Lake City, Utah’s only liquor Distillery. High West has been around for 2-years creating a unique rye whiskey, “Rendezvous," and oat vodka "Vodka 7000’." All “Rendezvous” is made in small batches in a copper pot still and packaged in hand-blown bottles. High West “Rendezvous” Whiskey was awarded the Double Gold, in San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2008Master Distiller David Perkins explains the 250-gallon copper pot still. Perkins decided to open his distillery in Utah to honor Utah whiskey history. The first known whiskey made in the West was distilled in Utah, during the pioneer days. High West is currently building their new distillery in Park City, becoming the First ski-in and ski-out distillery located near Town Lift.
